Directly after Arnold Schwarzenegger and John Milius reunited this last weekend at the Silicon Valley Comic Con, Arnold invited John out to his home in Los Angeles where they spoke for three hours or more about the days of high adventure and talked about the past and future of Conan films.
While it is an exciting time for Arnold fans with Terminator Genisys on the rise, let’s not forget that Schwarzenegger’s next film project is “what is best in life”! As if we weren’t already pumped enough for The Legend of Conan, we have new word from Chris Morgan and Fredrik Malmberg, the film's producers, telling us the greatest Schwarzenegger cinematic experience is yet to come!
Our favorite barbarian was recently honored at the Almeria Film Festival on Sunday, September 28 and was given a star in the street next to Max Von Sydow's star. Arnold Schwarzenegger arrived in a motorcade and there were thousands of fans scattered about the city to see him while Conan's soundtrack played on. The Austrian Oak signed a Conan poster and an Atlantean movie replica sword for the Museum of Film.
While fans are celebrating this week's news of a first draft of a completed Legend of Conan script, I thought I bring you a Crom-worthy interview! Gerry Lopez, who played Subotai in Conan the Barbarian, spoke to TheArnoldFans and gave me several great Ahnuld stories and Conan tales of high adventure!
As we all know, Paul Verhoeven has created some top-notch action films so why would Hollywood remake masterpieces? Look what happened to the atrocious Total Recall remake. After the bastardization of Total Recall 2012, is Paul in favor of the RoboCop remake? After I spoke with him about his possible involvement to direct The Legend of Conan, we talked RoboCop.
Over the last year, I've interviewed Arnold several times on red carpets and I met with him on a movie set. Bad news: Schwarzenegger will NOT be starring in the new Conan movie! Well, that’s at least what I’ve been telling myself so I wouldn’t be devastated if the project didn’t work out sometime down the line. Sure, The Legend of Conan is still a GO with Universal Pictures, but you have to understand where I’m coming from. Very few of you know my history, so let me share with you my coming-of-age story. At the age of 11, I snuck into my first rated-R movie and arrived about a minute into the start of the film. Basil Poledouris’ epic score was blaring as the Cimmerian village was being raided.

Let The Last Stand premieres begin! While we are on the road to L.A., last night, Schwarzenegger and Knoxville were in Austin, Texas for one of the first screenings of The Last Stand, a week before its general release. They did a Q&A moderated by Harry Knowles afterwards, and some VERY juicy information on the new Conan movie came out of it!

Even though I get the fortunate opportunity to interview many of Arnold's directors and co-stars, I'm always extra giddy to speak with the cast of Conan the Barbarian, my favorite Arnold film. Recently I was able to speak with one of the key players, Gerry Lopez, who plays "food for wolves" a.k.a. Subotai!
