Schwarzenegger Begins Filming His Netflix Spy Series!
Considering it’s been so long since Arnold has picked a big action project, many fans were saying they will believe it when they see filming with their own eyes. Well, we can all believe it now. Feast your eyes on our cinematic hero filming an action scene as he rides a motorcycle. Similar to the Terminator, Arnold is back in black in a leather jacket but this Netflix series won’t be science fiction.
"It’s a tv series based on True Lies, Arnold admits. "So, I’m a secret agent, my family doesn’t know that I am a secret agent, but as the story develops, I don’t know that my own daughter, that I thought is a peace core worker overseas, is also actually a secret agent and she doesn’t know Im a secret agent and I don’t know that she is a secret agent. So, it’s kind of comedy and action all combined like True Lies.’'
For a few months the series has toggled with both names of UTAP and FUBAR. It appears UTAP has become the chosen name as we can see the official title treatment on set production signs. The show will have eight episodes in the first season. Filming started on May 2 and will continue until August 25, 2022, though filming dates are subject to change.
After Arnold was cast in the lead role, we previously had only heard that Monica Barbaro (Top Gun 2) will play his daughter. Casting has been updated with some interesting talent with Gabriel Luna (Terminator Dark Fate), Fortune Feimmster (Life in Pieces) Jay Baruchel (This is the End and How to Train Your Dragons) and Andy Buckley (The Office). We’re really excited to see Arnold back and to be involved with some great comedians. Let’s just hope we also get casting news of Tom Arnold joining the cast. Stick around as we’ll keep you updated with the latest set photos and details.
