Exclusive: TAFs Chats with Joe Manganiello + Sabotage Review!

Joe Manganiello, star of True Blood and Arnold’s upcoming Sabotage, is on a career high right now with the release of his new book, EVOLUTION, plus he’s on the cover on the all new Muscle & Fitness magazine. But Manganiello isn’t achieving only temporary pump of fame; we have a strong suspicion that he’ll go all the way to A-list celebrity stardom. He's dedicated, talented, a role model and he’s a down-to-earth cool dude! Best of all, he’s a supreme Arnold fan so Joe was elated to hear Schwarzenegger had agreed to write the forward in his book.

Manganiello, who plays a big role in Sabotage, along with Arnold and Sam Worthington, tells TheArnoldFans why his character wears cornrows.

“My cornrows in Sabotage are based on an undercover narcotics officer I worked with to prepare for the role,” he tells us.

Ever since their filming began for Sabotage, Joe and Arnold have become very close and tight friends. He’s been to several of Arnold’s events such After-School All-Star charities and I even saw him at The Last Stand after party. Schwarzenegger also attends Joe’s events like when The Oak went to his directorial debuted film and he attended Joe’s Muscle & Fitness magazine launch party.

 

I asked Joe if he heard any controvery about his Muscle & Fitness cover. Had there been any photoshop accusations?

“The controversy can end,” began Manganiello. “NO PHOTOSHOP. Just discipline & a superior training program.”

 Now that Schwarzenegger and Manganiello are friends, might they star together in another film?

 “I've got a script I'm working on with a role that I'd love to see him in,” Joe tells TheArnoldFans.com first.

Through Twitter, The Oak just invited Manganiello to attend the Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio this March. Joe confirmed he’ll be there…and so will we! See you there, Joe and Arnold!

Arnold Schwarzenegger shows no signs in letting up on the throttle! While Sabotage has yet to be released, I got a special sneak peek at the upcoming film written by Skip Woods (A Good Day to Die Hard) and directed by David Ayer (End of Watch) who is known for his powerful and gritty, crime dramas. DEA agent, John “Breacher” Wharton (Schwarzenegger), and his elite task force have made names for themselves as heavy hitters against the drug cartels. Now, in a drug bust turned heist, the team steals millions from the cartel and become the subject of scandal and disgrace. While they escape conviction, the team can’t escape a mystery assassin who is killing them one by one.

If you’re a fan of murder mysteries and crime dramas, this film will not disappoint. Arnold heads up a great cast of very familiar faces including Sam Worthington, Terrence, Howard and Mireille Enos. With David Ayer at the helm, the action and story are paced well throughout the film keeping you glued to your seats with intrigue and a heavy dose of blood and bullets.

It felt darker and more gritty than his other films.  Not that I've seen all of his films, but I'd say I've seen a good deal of them. The violence was really good.  Some good deaths and gruesome shots.  During the film, it seemed like people were responding well around me.  I think it will do well with fans. Some stuff I didn't necessarily like, but overall, I really enjoyed the movie and completely recommend it. I'd definitely say this fits into my top 10 favorite Arnold films.
