Arnold fans, still pumped from all the "Ten" and "Conan" news can continue to celebrate as NECA's all new Terminator action figures are now hitting toy, hobby and comic stores! In their latest wave of Terminator action figures, we're AT LAST getting a Kyle Reese (never before sculpted by any previous toy line), a frozen, blue-tinted Liquid Nitrogen T-1000, and a Tanker Truck Pursuit T-800 Schwarzenegger figure!
Right along with the other BIG Arnold news today (read the previous story if you haven't heard!), we got a double dose by getting to see Arnold suited up in character for his new movie Ten which is filming now in Atlanta! There's not much to say but WOW! Just when you thought Arnold couldn't change up his look that much after his grey goatee from The Tomb, we get this!
Back in early September, TheArnoldFans first broke the news that Schwarzenegger was working a deal to reprise his greatest role ever: Conan! As documented in the book "Arnold's Army: A Schwarzenegger Uprising," written by Randy Jennings of TAFs, The Austrian Oak told Randy that the fans should not despair. When asked if all hope was lost for the future of Conan, Arnold responded, “Not at all. Conan is very much alive,” Schwarzenegger confirmed, smiling. “We’re just now stirring the pot,” the future Conan star said while acting out a stirring motion with his all-powerful, sword-wielding, Wheel-of-Pain-pushing arms.
The world's greatest action hero is now filming his next movie so unless Arnold has any more surprise book signing dates, it appears his promotional tour for Total Recall may be over. Fans from many regions of the globe got to meet their idol at one of his many tour locations: some of them were announced at his website Schwarzenegger.com and others announced as last-minute surprises on his Twitter page. You've heard a few stories from TAFs staff greeting our hero while getting our books signed but NOW let's hear from the FANS!
Okay, this year we’ve been so busy with Arnold interviews and promotion of Schwarzenegger’s Total Recall book, that we were thinking we might not get to our Arnold costume contest. But how could we deprive the fans of the greatest online costume contest in the world? We’re back! With little warning and with little preparation time for you to create a costume, this year we’re accepting the cheesiest of outfits as well as ballsy and ambitious costumed creations.
The next Arnold Schwarzenegger film is now underway! TEN tells the sordid tale of a group of rogue DEA agents who get their comeuppance in gruesome ways. The movie, due for release next year, also stars Sam Worthington, Terrence Howard and Dawn Olivieri.
Ten years ago, I was introduced to Arnold fan Chris. From the beginning we hit it off as we both discussed our favorite action heroes over dinner at the original Bob's Bigboy Restaurant. Since then we've kept in touch and we've have several Los Angeles meet-ups (including watching The Expendables Hollywood premieres together), he's had TAFs friends and staff crash at his house and he let me read and review his film script titled RIVALS, an action comedy which was written for Arnold and Sly.
Although Arnold Schwarzenegger does many of his own stunts, he's not crazy enough to do a bike jump down into a concrete canal only to speed past a T-1000-driven truck. Arnold is certainly ballsy and may want to attempt some of these wild stunts but the studio executives won't risk their lead action hero get injured.
Schwarzenegger, still basking in some astonishing TOTAL RECALL book sales, is being fought over by many film studios. His future as an action hero remains strong as big blockbuster film scripts are still being offered to the 65-year-old megastar.
